What is the Coveted Weft?

The Coveted Weft integrates the ease, convenience, and strength of machine-made wefts with the weightlessness and flexibility of hand-tied wefts. This lightweight, ultra-thin weft provides the freedom of customization for any client while promising evenly distributed density without compromising Covet & Mane’s unmatched quality. The Coveted Weft may be referred to as a “genius” or “invisible” weft.

How many Coveted Wefts do I need for a full install?

It’s possible that you’ll only need one pack of Coveted Weft 2.0 for a full install. Our Coveted weft consists of three 11.5” long wefts for 34.5” of hair with a density that is full from roots to tips meaning less hair is needed for a full install. it’s your guaranteed go-to for convenient, custom installations. Just lay, cut, stitch, and style to your heart’s content like Coveted stylist Melissa Lopez.

Was the Coveted Weft previously one continuous weft?

Yes, previously, it was a single continuous weft, 29" wide. However, responding to stylist requests, we now offer the Coveted Weft in three 11.5" width pieces, totaling 34.5" of hair—longer than the original. This change increases the freedom and flexibility of customization for any client while promising evenly distributed density without compromising Covet & Mane’s unmatched quality.

Why can’t I color the top of The Coveted Weft?

How long does the Coveted Weft last?

Like our hand-tied hair, with proper maintenance, the Coveted Weft hair can last 6 months up to a year. Please visit our Maintenance Guide for best practices.

Can you put heat on the top of The Coveted Weft?

As the top of the weft is made from a reinforced material, please avoid direct heat, this includes any heated styling tools and hot blow dryers.

Difference between Coveted Weft & Cut Point Weft?

Our Cut-point wefts are designed with our Stylists in mind. The proprietary hand-tied wefts have two cut-point sections on one side of the weft. The cut points can be used to achieve a perfect customization on each client's head. The Coveted Weft integrates the ease, convenience, and strength of machine-made wefts with the weightlessness and flexibility of hand-tied wefts. This lightweight, ultra-thin weft provides the freedom of customization for any client while promising evenly distributed density without compromising Covet & Mane’s unmatched quality. The Coveted weft may be called a “genius” or “invisible” weft. What happens when color or heat is applied to the root of the Coveted Weft?

We’ve chosen a reinforced material for the stitching at the top of the Coveted Weft to make cutting and customization a breeze. Unfortunately, this reinforced material does not hold color. If you’re looking to modify the roots of the extensions, we recommend layering in our hand-tied wefts to create a seamless blend. As the reinforcement at the top of the weft is not made of heat-resistant materials it will melt if high heat is applied. We recommend avoiding direct heat to the top of the weft to avoid any damage.

How many wefts/packs do I need for a full head?

Pack Sizes: Wefts
10”: 10 wefts per a pack - 1 pack for full install
14”: 10 wefts per a pack - 1 pack for full install
18”: 8 wefts per a pack- 1-1.5 packs for full install (dependent on clients hair density)
20": 8 wefts per pack (only available in our Textures Collection) - 1 pack for full install
22”: 6 wefts per a pack - 1-2 packs for full install (dependent on clients hair density usually around 1.5)
26”: 5 wefts per a pack 1.5-2 packs for a full install (dependent on clients hair density usually around 1.5)
28”: 5 wefts per pack 1.5-2 packs for a full install (dependent on clients hair density usually around 1.5)

How do our wefts translate into grams?

A lot of new stylists are familiar with other brands that use grams only and not the number of wefts, so they get confused. Based on the length here is how many hand-tied wefts are in each package:
18”: 8 wefts (each weft has 15-16 grams per weft)
22”: 6 wefts ( each weft has 20 grams per weft)
Each pack is around 4 oz. of hair (120 grams)

Can you perm and/or color our hair?

While the hair can be colored, we do offer an array of colors to prevent the hair from having to be colored. We do not suggest perming the hair and we do offer beach wave and textured hair if a client would prefer a curly or wavy look.

Can the hair be bleached?

It depends. We’ve meticulously dyed the colors we offer to blend seamlessly, layer beautifully, and inspire stunning, custom looks. In other words, we’ve already done the heavy lifting. The exception? Natural. Because this shade comes from virgin hair, you can lift it one to two volumes while preserving its integrity.

Importance of keeping the tag for any future hair issues?

Keeping your tag is very important, as the batch code for the hair is listed on the tag.

How to update my address on my profile?

For the address on your account, you can log into your account go to “addresses” and update billing and shipping addresses.

How to schedule a concierge call?

If you are logged in under “my account” “dashboard” you can go to “schedule a call” and preschedule a call directly in your account” you can also use “message us” to send a direct message chat to us that can be answered right away M-F 9 AM - 6 PM EST.

How long does it take for items to arrive/ship?

Orders placed before 2 pm EST M-F will ship out the same business day as long as they are in stock on the website. Any orders placed after 2 PM EST or will ship out the next business day. Our warehouse is closed on Saturdays & Sundays and any orders placed on those days will ship out first thing Monday morning.
We have 3 shipping options: Our complimentary shipping option generally arrives in 3-5 business days. We also have two paid shipping options. Our FedEx 2-day shipping arrives in 2 business days. Our overnight shipping arrives the next business day as long as the order is placed before 2 PM EST.
